Michael Blevins has been the Tennis Director at CSC since June 2019. Michael works with players ages 3 to 90 to improve technique and footwork while having fun. Michael mainly focuses on developing both junior and adult teams through practice and competition. He believes that tennis is a sport you can enjoy no matter your age forever; it’s a family sport that grandparents and children can enjoy together. He also knows that tennis is a great workout and beneficial to your health.

Michael has been a Tennis Director for five years and teaching tennis for 13 years. He has coached over 30 State Qualifying juniors and 20 nationally ranked juniors. He has taken two Junior Team Tennis teams to top 10 finishes at Nationals. He has also coached and played on a USTA Adult National Championship team. He has had over 20 players play collegiate tennis during his time as a coach.

Michael holds a B.S in Journalism/Sports Management from Grace College where he was named All-Conference 2 years and Player of the Year as a freshman. He was also the first freshman in school history to win the conference.

A native of nearby Bay Village, Ohio, McMahon was a four-time Big East Conference Academic All-Star at DePaul from 2007-10 and a vital member of a Blue Demon squad that reached the NCAA Division I Championship Tournament in 2010. Besides, she advanced to the 2008 Wilson/ITA Regional Doubles Tournament championship match.

Along with her playing experience, McMahon brings a multitude of instructing expertise. She recently served as an all-age instructor at the North Olmsted Recreation Complex, the Avon Oaks Country Club and the Bay Village Recreation Department. Before her time at Berry, she served in various instructing roles with the Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation Department in Georgia and the Lakeshore Athletic Club in Chicago.

Heerboth, who earned All-America honours for both his singles and doubles play, joins the Spartans after an accomplished collegiate playing career at Kenyon College.  He was a four-year member of the men’s tennis team at Kenyon, serving as a team captain during his junior and senior seasons. Finishing his career with the second-most singles wins (83-20) doubles wins (89-30) in the program’s history.  A two-time NCAC Player of the Year, he helped his team to the NCAA Division III Championship finals during his freshman year. He was part of a team that won the ITA Indoor National Championship and was ranked first in Division III during his sophomore year.

Heerboth graduated from Kenyon College in the spring of 2015 with a major in Economics.  He earned Dean’s List recognition and was a Scholar-Athlete during his time with the team. Wojtkowski earned his bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education in 2006 from Ohio State and completed a Master of Business Administration at The Citadel in 2008.  He and his wife, Julie, and their son, Owen, reside in Solon.

Before coming to University Circle, Wojtkowski spent two seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I The Citadel. During his time in Charleston, South Carolina, he helped the program to its first-ever national ranking and a 16-9 record in 2007-08 after winning just two matches the previous year. The Youngstown, Ohio-native and 2012 Ursuline High School Athletic Hall of Fame inductee spent three years playing at the University of Toledo before transferring to The Ohio State University. As a scholarship student-athlete at Toledo, Wojtkowski was a three-time Varsity T award winner, Team Leadership Award winner and team captain.
