Frank played varsity junior high and high school tennis between 1976-1983 with Coach J.C. Louderback.

As a result, he was inducted into the Heart of America Hall of Fame in 2011. That’s not all; he is likewise the general manager of a local tennis club (OPRC) for 23 years and another one called KCRC for about four years. John also coached at the City of Overland Park as the head tennis professional for almost ten years.
