With vast experience as a tennis coach in Washington DC and its environs, David is likewise an internationally recognized expert in tennis player and coach as well a local USPTA Certified Tennis Professional.
Among other things, he has also been a USPTA National Speaker since 1995 having over 30 years of tennis teaching experience and over 50 years playing experience. He served on the executive board of the Cadio Tennis National for seven years as the Team Speaker. He has also held several national ranking from juniors to master division making him one of the best coaches in town.
David coached on the WTA pro tour for more than two years with the top world-class player, Barbara Potter. He also worked several years as the Director of Performance Training at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in New York City before his relocation to Washington DC. David is a USTA Mid-Atlantic junior travel tennis coach where his 14 and under boys and girls team won the 2016 East Coast Zonal Championships. Presently,he’s Vice President of the Lafayette Tennis Association (Washington, DC) and likewise serves on the USTA Junior Competition Committee as well as the USPTA Mid-Atlantic Board of Directors.

Grant has over 12 years of tennis teaching experience and more than 21 years of playing experience.He’s a former Harvard tennis player where he played on the professional circuit. While playing at Harvard, Grant and his team won the Ivy League and ECAC team titles. The team also appeared in two NCAA tournament and were ranked #18 at a point.
As a player, Grant was a 3-time Academic All-American champion and was defeated in the 2018 NCAA tournament having played against #17 Oklahoma State players and #10 USC player. In the tournament, he led his team in singles and doubles in his senior year.
He teaches tennis in Washington DC area at Banneker Tennis Center (Howard), Kennedy Rec Center, G.W. Tennis Courts and the Rock Creek Tennis Center.He’s also willing to travel up to 15 miles from his current location.

4 - Washington DC Tennis Lesson Coach: Lauro
Having taught tennis for more than 20 years and more than 36 years of tennis playing experience, you may not find someone with more experience like Lauro. Felicisimo Ampon tutored Lauro. Felicisimo was popularly known as The “Mighty Might” and the greatest Filipino tennis player with the longest winning streak in Davis Cup history. In the competition, he also reached both the quested finals and semifinal in several major Grand slams. Among other things, he was once called the greatest tennis player in the world, pound for pound. Even though he was only 5 feet tall, he defeated the likes of Ken Rosewall (Australia), Bill Talbert (United States) and Pancho Gonzales (United States).
