Grant has over 12 years of tennis teaching experience and more than 21 years of playing experience. He’s a former Harvard tennis player where he played on the professional circuit. 

While playing at Harvard, Grant and his team won the Ivy League and ECAC team titles. The team also appeared in two NCAA tournament and were ranked #18 at a point.

As a player, Grant was a 3-time Academic All-American champion and was defeated in the 2018 NCAA tournament having played against #17 Oklahoma State players and #10 USC player. In the tournament, he led his team in singles and doubles in his senior year.

Felicisimo Ampon tutored Lauro. Felicisimo was popularly known as The “Mighty Might” and the greatest Filipino tennis player with the longest winning streak in Davis Cup history. In the competition, he also reached both the quested finals and semifinal in several major Grand slams.
